Most people in China are ignorant.
Ignorant because they are not allowed to know the facts. They cannot read, or
see, or hear the different sources and opinions so they can decide for
themselves
Yes, many Western media get it wrong. But many get it right. I have the choice
to read them all and make up my own mind.
Why are the media not allowed into Tibet to freely ask the people what is
happening and what they think?
Why do police follow the media around Beijing all the time? Why are people told
not to talk to them? Why are people under house arrest for saying what they
think?
In my country I am allowed to make up my own mind about what is happening. I am
allowed to disagree with my government, and give anyone my opinion, for what it
is worth.
I can read a newspaper where people criticize the government and the leaders.
I am allowed to think for myself !
The 30th anniversary of June 4th is coming soon.
What actually happened over that time? Why can't people ask? Why can't they
complain? Why are people silenced for asking?
Without being able to question or discuss issues, the people of China remain
ignorant.
Your own government will not allow you to think for yourselves.
As a test, put the bottom of each post you put online "What really
happened on June 4th" or "Hu Juntao is not the best choice for a government
leader"

During the 1960's I went to school, came home, watched TV, went out with my friends. Meanwhile you were waving little red books and destroying your country.
China wants its antiques back. Well first of all explain why so much of the country was trashed during the cultural revolution, and why people were not bought to account for the damage done to the people, the buildings, your own history.
This is why so many people look at China and laugh.
By the way, congratulations on your conquest of space. It's a shame it's 40 years too late, using Russian equipment. Not actually that difficult with all the modern science and computers available now.
